Ben Lockwood

Assistant to the Senior Director, UK

Growing up just a few miles from the Chichester Festival Theatre, Ben began working Front of House at the age of 16, and feels this venue is directly responsible for installing a passion for musical theatre. Moving to London, he completed a BA English Literature and Language at King’s College, London, followed by a MA Creative Producing at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

During university, he interned at Premier PR, WhatsOnStage, FreshOne Productions and Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, while producing and directing plays at King’s. Since graduating, he has worked at Sonia Friedman Productions and Cameron Mackintosh Ltd., and produced a late night musical theatre cabaret called West End After Hours. In addition to his theatre experience, Ben has worked for events such as the BAFTA Awards and The Elaine Paige Show for Sky Arts.

Ben has been very lucky to cultivate his early fascination for musical theatre through constant attendance at London, regional and international theatres, and is looking forward to bringing his knowledge and energy for new musical theatre to Theatrical Rights Worldwide.
