John Wimbs

John Wimbs has written several plays, including MOLLY WOOD, a historical tragic-comedy, which won two Dora Mavor Moore Awards (Canada’s top theater honor) for Best New Play and Best Production after its world premiere in Toronto. He also won top honors at the Quebec Drama Festival for his first play, From THE MEMOIRS OF JOHNNY DAZE, which was then produced as a full-length feature film, in association with the National Film Board of Canada. For television, Mr. Wimbs was a staff writer on EDIBLE INCREDIBLE!, an award-winning children’s television program for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
