TRW and JDP Partner at The Junior Thespian Festival 2013!

Eli Yamin Hits Just the Right Note with Junior Thespian Festival Kids!

Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) was super-jazzed to be at The International Thespian Society’s Junior Thespian Festival 2013, at the J.S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School in Augusta, GA, March 1-3! The expo drew over 500 students and teachers from 10 states in what was the best attended Junior ITS Conference to date.

TRW’s Director of Licensing Jim Hoare was on-site for the festival which featured workshops by TRW author Eli Yamin, the co-creator of The Jazz Drama Program (NORA’S ARK THE JAZZ MUSICAL, HOLDING THE TORCH FOR LIBERTY). In Yamin’s hands-on workshop, students experience jazz, the blues and other forms of American music in a format that makes them accessible for the younger set. Along with co-creator Clifford Carlson, Yamin has written a series of musicals for kids to perform that combine the power of experiential learning with story telling and total immersion in the language and culture of jazz. This potent tool for communication creates a musical theatre format for children to experience jazz across the curriculum, as they never have before!

TRW is proud to represent the first two titles in the Jazz Drama Program’s series, NORA’S ARK THE JAZZ MUSICAL and HOLDING THE TORCH FOR LIBERTY. These brilliant shows are specially crafted to work in school and youth theatre communities and are ready for your classroom or theater space now!
