Drew Fornarola

Drew Fornarola is a songwriter and playwright from New York.  He is currently developing a stage musical DreamWorks.   Film: VeggieTales Noah’s Ark (DreamWorks, 2015) starring Wayne Brady.  Theater: STRAIGHT (2016 New York Times Critics’ Pick, off-Broadway’s Acorn Theater);  Claudio Quest (winner of six 2015 NYMF Awards for Excellence, optioned by Dramatic Forces); Molly Shannon’s Tilly The Trickster (Atlantic Theater Company, collaboration with Saturday Night Live’s Molly Shannon); Thucydides (Winner of Samuel French Play Festival); Vote (for Me!): A Musical Debate (London Theatre Workshop, Roy Arias Stages Off Broadway);  COLLEGE The Musical (MTVu Award, Hippodrome State Theatre); and the TYA musicals Awesome Allie First Kid Astronaut and Uncle Pirate. Concerts of Drew’s songs have been presented at Lincoln Center, 54 Below, Broadway au Carre (Paris), London Theatre Workshop (London), Bar Fedora at Au Lac (Los Angeles), and The Duplex, among others.  In 2013 he provided string arrangements for #1 charting Japanese hip hop band CREAM.  Drew has given masterclasses around the world in both performance and writing, and is a proud member of the Broadway Dreams Foundation faculty.  B.A. Princeton University, J.D.
